A Journey into My Inner World explores the inner landscape through Woojoo’s recurring imagery of doors, light, forests, flowers, trees, and skies. Each work unfolds as a scene within a continuous journey, moving from an encounter with the self toward the discovery of light, growth, and an expanding sense of possibility.

For Woojoo, the inner world is like a universe in which memories, emotions, fears, hopes, and dreams coexist. The light that appears throughout the paintings becomes a visual language for change, life, and hope, while the recurring rabbit acts as an emotional persona traveling through these imagined landscapes. Beginning with the artist’s personal experiences, the exhibition ultimately invites viewers to encounter the world within themselves and discover their own sense of light and possibility.

《나를 찾는 여정》은 문, 빛, 숲, 꽃, 나무, 하늘과 같이 우주의 작품에 반복적으로 등장하는 이미지를 따라 내면의 풍경을 탐색하는 전시이다. 각각의 작품은 독립된 하나의 장면이면서 동시에 자신과 마주하고, 빛을 발견하며, 생명과 가능성이 확장되어 가는 하나의 여정으로 이어진다.

우주에게 한 사람의 내면은 기억과 감정, 두려움과 희망, 꿈과 소망이 공존하는 하나의 우주와 같은 세계이다. 작품 속에서 반복되는 빛은 변화와 생명, 희망을 드러내는 시각적 언어가 되고, 작은 토끼는 그 세계를 여행하는 작가의 감정적 페르소나로 등장한다. 작가 개인의 경험에서 시작된 이번 전시는 관람객 역시 자신의 내면을 바라보고, 그 안에 존재하는 각자의 빛과 가능성을 발견하도록 이끈다.

Gallery COLLAST presents Woojoo’s solo exhibition, A Journey into My Inner World, from September 9 through September 23, 2026. Through dreamlike landscapes illuminated by light, the exhibition traces a journey of looking inward, encountering emotion, and gradually discovering a wider world within the self.

Woojoo’s paintings begin with the idea that every individual carries an inner universe shaped by memories, emotions, fears, joy, wounds, dreams, and hopes. Forests, deep waters, clouds, flowers, and trees visualize this unseen world, while recurring doors suggest passages between the familiar and the unknown. The rabbit that appears throughout the works functions as the artist’s emotional persona: vulnerable and hesitant at times, yet continually moving forward.

At the center of Woojoo’s practice is light. It emerges beyond a doorway, glimmers in darkness, grows from a seed into flowers and trees, and eventually spreads across forests and skies. For the artist, light is more than a formal device; it carries meanings of life, love, faith, hope, and renewal. Yet its significance remains open, allowing each viewer to encounter it through their own memories and experiences.

The exhibition unfolds through three chapters—Beyond the Door, Where Light Begins to Bloom, and As Far as the Light Reaches. Moving from darker, enclosed spaces toward increasingly open landscapes, the works trace a gradual transition from introspection to discovery and expansion. The journey concludes not with a fixed destination, but with a moment of stillness in which viewers are invited to look back upon their own path.

Although the works originate from Woojoo’s personal experiences, A Journey into My Inner World extends beyond autobiography. The exhibition proposes the act of looking inward as an ongoing process of discovering new emotions, possibilities, and ways of seeing. Through these luminous landscapes, Woojoo invites viewers to enter their own inner universe and encounter the light that may already exist within it.

갤러리 콜라스트는 2026년 9월 9일부터 9월 23일까지 우주의 개인전 《나를 찾는 여정》을 개최한다. 이번 전시는 빛으로 채워진 비현실적인 풍경을 따라 자신의 내면을 바라보고 감정과 마주하며, 그 안에서 새로운 세계를 발견해 가는 과정을 담아낸다.

우주는 한 사람의 내면에 기억과 감정, 두려움과 기쁨, 상처와 위로, 꿈과 소망이 공존하는 하나의 우주와 같은 세계가 존재한다고 바라본다. 숲과 심해, 구름, 꽃과 나무는 눈에 보이지 않는 내면의 세계를 시각화한 풍경이며, 반복적으로 등장하는 문은 익숙한 현실과 아직 알지 못하는 세계를 연결하는 통로가 된다. 작품 속 작은 토끼는 작가의 감정적 페르소나로, 때로는 두려워하고 망설이면서도 자신의 길을 따라 계속해서 앞으로 나아간다.

작업의 중심에는 ‘빛’이 있다. 빛은 문 너머에서 스며들고, 깊은 어둠 속에서 희미하게 반짝이며, 씨앗에서 시작해 꽃과 나무로 성장한다. 때로는 숲과 하늘 전체로 번지며 새로운 세계를 만들어낸다. 작가에게 빛은 단순히 화면을 밝히는 조형적 요소를 넘어 생명과 사랑, 신앙과 희망, 다시 나아갈 수 있는 힘을 담고 있다. 동시에 그 의미를 하나로 한정하지 않음으로써 관람객 각자의 기억과 경험에 따라 다른 감각으로 받아들여질 수 있는 여지를 남긴다.

전시는 〈문 너머의 세계〉, 〈빛이 피어나는 자리〉, 〈빛이 닿는 곳까지〉의 세 개의 챕터로 구성된다. 어둡고 깊은 공간에서 출발한 화면은 점차 빛을 발견하고 생명을 피워내며, 숲과 하늘, 구름으로 확장된다. 그러나 여정의 마지막은 명확한 목적지에 도달하는 것으로 끝나지 않는다. 고요한 풍경 속에서 잠시 머물며 지나온 길과 자신의 시간을 돌아보는 순간으로 이어진다.

우주의 작업은 개인적인 경험과 감정에서 출발하지만 그 이야기만을 전달하는 데 머무르지 않는다. 《나를 찾는 여정》은 자신을 알아가는 일을 완결된 결과가 아닌 지속적인 과정으로 바라보고, 그 안에서 새로운 감정과 가능성, 삶을 바라보는 또 다른 시선을 발견하는 경험을 제안한다. 빛으로 펼쳐진 풍경을 따라 관람객 역시 자신의 내면에 존재하는 세계를 여행하며, 각자의 방식으로 자신만의 빛과 이야기를 마주하게 된다.
